There, where everything is going in the middle of the road. There lies a dear flower, and she is lying and rotting. She is calling out, how long must one plead.  Look whoever is going, have pity on me and do not step on the blossom of beauty.
Whoever  has pity, pick up the flower that is shining, and and lead me away from where I am and to a place where the flower first was planted.
For 2000 years it happened that I had a kingdom, and your will recall, how I looked then, the beauty of a bygone time.  Thousands of servants served me, and the sun shone brightly on me.
Today, look at me, what has become of me, every night they lead me there.
