1.  In the wild wood, where it rains and is cold,
a  lamb is lost all alone.
Bitten up by animals, torn by thorns,
wails and cries bitterly.
“Mamma, take me to you,
Mamma, where are you now?
I am glad, your dear only child.”
She  hears well and answers right away,
“I am not far from you my lamb.
Wait in the woods, I am coming soon.
Because the hour is coming.”

Refrain:
Mother is the holy spirit, pure,
the lamb stands for the Jewish people.
The forest and the animals signify?
The home means Eretz Israel,

2.      For 2000 years we were driven
from our holy land.
They tormented us and wore us out.
Everywhere we were mocked.
Everyone has a home, a land,
but that the Jews are everywhere strangers
Jews are cast out,
naked and barefoot,
while there are always new laws and rules imposed.

Refrain...

3.       Once we sat calmly,
we had a Jewish kingdom.
We installed great kings.
Sadly, today, we are spread far and wide,
parents and children parted.
We have no place in this whole world.
Every people have things happen
but other peoples have sweet lives.
But we Jews, we have no piece of land
where we can plant our feet.
Our enemies mock us.
They shout, always, every minute:
”Kikes, leave”, they shout, “Nasty Jew”.

Refrain...

4. Israel, wipe off your bitter tears.
I listened to your prayers.
I will save you quickly and soon.
You suffered enough for your sins,
they tore enough pieces from you.
Those wild beasts in human form.
And if you sinned,
you suffered enough for your sins.
A holy land, you will soon remain there forever.
I can promise you, I will never chase you from there,
From your new homeland, Israel
