CTMD Touring Artists celebrates diverse cultures from around the world while cultivating awareness for the traditional performing art forms found here in the United States. Representing a multitude of ensembles from various world cultures, CTMD Touring Artists brings to stages across the country, a highly eclectic mix of electrifying traditional performing artists. From exhilarating African dance troupes and seductively rhythmic Latin dance bands, to wildly virtuosic European folk ensembles and explosive Asian drummers, presenters are sure to find an ensemble that will entertain, engage and educate.
CTMD Touring Artists is a program of the Center for Traditional Music and Dance (CTMD), a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the practice of the traditional performing arts. CTMD commemorates its 40th anniversary this season and continues to introduce audiences to vibrant ethnic folk traditions from around the globe. With its signature program, CTMD Touring Artists is proud to announce its 2008-2009 roster of US-based world performance ensembles.

CTMD Touring Artists are regularly engaged for performances and residencies by major presenters around the country.
